Our Unique Orange Pi 5+ Case with a Cable Protection Bay

The case comes in Grey or Black and in three parts, the case for the OP5+ itself, a lid for the encoder (space for a 40mm fan – Not Included) and a lid for the cable protection bay. The OP5+ screws into place inside the casing and then both the lids screw on over the top of the encoder and the cables.

All fixings for the OP5+ and the lids come embedded into the case and crosshead machine bolts are provided.

The cable bay is to prevent the HDMI, USBs and the Ethernet ports from being damaged when inside your bag.

Please note that the cable protection bay is only for the one side where the HDMI, Ethernet and Type-C power are located (front).

What’s Included/Features

• x1 Encoder case with extended cable protection bay
• x1 Encoder case lid
  • The lid also has space for a 40mm fan to be installed directly above the main chip, USB cable slot found in the front of the lid (Inside or Outside – Not provided).
• x1 Cable protection bay lid (comes already attached the the main lid)
  • Supports a HDMI with port header of up to 48mm
• All fixings which include:
  • x4 Fixings for the OP5+ to secure it inside the case
  • x4 Fixings for main lid that covers the OP5+
  • x1 Thumb screw for the cable protection lid
  • x1 Nut and Bolt to attach both lids to the hinge (preinstalled)
• 20mm slotted gaps on the base of the cable bay to attach straps
• Includes x2 10cm Velcro self-adhesive strips to attach to the underside of the case if desired
• SD card is accessible and protected from accidental removal with a small ledge
• The lid will have a small slot in the front underside to feed a USB cable through to the front USB ports if using a fan

Information

• A PETG Case is recommended in consistently warmer climates as this has a higher temperature tolerance to warping and deformations.
• Example of PLA: We’ve been using/testing a full PLA case & fan mods in the backpack within the UK all year round and no warping has taken place.
